I was so excited this morning when I found out I actually had a Sharpie marker! I had been reading about personalised DIY sharpie mugs on Pinterest and was hoping to get myself some Sharpies sometime. The one I used for this is the permanent marker which is suitable for hand washing only – apparently not dishwasher safe. You should get the oil based markers to avoid your design washing away if you use a dishwasher. So straight to business, this is what you need to make a personalised DIY Sharpie Mug:
Plain white ceramic mug
Sharpie marker (permanent or oil based)
A cool design
I decided to letter ‘Never too latte’ because I’m going through a coffee phase at the moment, it’s never too late to have a latte right (pun alert).
Instructions
- Draw or letter your design on the surface of the mug
- Bake in oven for 30 minutes at 180oC ~ 350oF
- Allow to cool and you’re done!!
